Ever wondered how the pros tackle microwave cleaning? We went straight to the experts to uncover their top tips and tricks!

Debra Braman, the mastermind behind Maid by Design, and Joanna Martin, the savvy owner of Winston Salem Cleaning Service, graciously shared their insider secrets for achieving sparkling clean microwaves in no time.

Let's dive into their expert advice and revolutionize the way we clean microwaves.

1. Remove Loose Food & Debris

Grab a microfiber towel dampened with water and wipe down the interior of your microwave. This simple yet effective step will remove any loose food particles and debris, setting the stage for a thorough clean.

2. Remove Stuck-On Food & Heavy Soils

For stubborn caked-on food and soils, fill a coffee cup with water, place it in the microwave, and heat on high for two minutes. This gentle steaming action will soften the grime, making it easier to remove.

When two minutes is up, carefully remove the coffee cup. Spritz the interior with a cleaning solution or detergent and allow it to sit for a minute or so.

While the solution works its magic, remove the microwave plate and give it a thorough wash in the sink.

Wipe down the exterior of the microwave, including the top, sides, and glass door inside and out. Rinse away any residue with a clean and damp microfiber towel.

For particularly stubborn spots, enlist the help of a plastic scraper to gently lift away stuck-on debris.

Wipe the inside of the microwave with a clean microfiber towel to remove any debris.

3. Finishing Touches

After cleaning, ensure a streak-free finish by drying with a clean microfiber cloth. Microfiber is ideal for cleaning and polishing surfaces like glass, stainless steel, and non-porous materials.

To remove streaks after cleaning, gently buff them away using a dry section of the towel, or a microfiber glass towel.

Be thorough in your inspection, checking the door from various angles for smears and any overlooked spots.

For any stubborn streaks or fingerprints, apply more cleaning spray and wipe down with another microfiber cloth for a pristine shine.

Why We Do It This Way

We utilize the power of heat and water to loosen stubborn food residues, enhancing the efficiency of our cleaning process. A final rinse with plain water not only eliminates excess chemicals but also minimizes streaks, resulting in a brilliant shine.

Try it with both a dry MW Pro Microfiber Towel and Microfiber Glass Cloth to determine which yields the best results for your specific needs.
